Project Overview
AMA Scaffolding was appointed to deliver a comprehensive scaffolding solution in support of major cladding remediation works at Drayton Park, located directly opposite the iconic Arsenal Football Stadium. The project required long-term, safe, and fully compliant access to multiple elevations while remediation works were carried out on a live and high-profile urban site.
Lawtech, the client for this project, is a well-established principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. Founded in 2004, Lawtech is recognised for delivering technically complex, multi-million-pound cladding repatriation and regeneration contracts across London and the wider South East. The scaffolding solution supplied by AMA Scaffolding needed to match the client’s exacting standards for safety, quality, and technical precision.
Scope of Works
AMA Scaffolding designed, erected, and maintained a full access scaffolding system to support cladding remediation works across the rear elevations of the building. The scaffold was erected on 27/10/25 and remained in place for a one-year programme to allow phased remediation works to be completed safely and efficiently.
Due to restricted access at the rear of the property, a crane was utilised during the erection process to safely lift and position scaffolding materials into hard-to-reach elevations. This approach minimised disruption, reduced manual handling risks, and ensured the scaffold could be erected efficiently within the constraints of the site.
Challenges and Solutions
• Restricted rear access requiring careful planning and crane-assisted installation
• High-profile location opposite a major football stadium requiring strict safety and compliance controls
• Long-duration scaffold requiring ongoing inspections, maintenance, and adaptability
• Coordination with cladding remediation works to maintain continuous, safe access
AMA Scaffolding addressed these challenges through detailed planning, close coordination with the principal contractor, and the use of specialist access techniques to ensure the scaffold remained safe, stable, and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.
Client Experience
Throughout the project, AMA Scaffolding worked closely with Lawtech to ensure access requirements aligned with the evolving remediation programme. Clear communication, responsive support, and consistent safety standards allowed remediation works to progress without delay. The crane-assisted erection process enabled efficient installation while maintaining a high level of site safety in a busy urban environment.
Outcome
The scaffolding solution provided by AMA Scaffolding delivered safe, reliable, and fully compliant access for the duration of the one-year cladding remediation programme. The project demonstrated AMA Scaffolding’s capability to support technically demanding, long-term remediation works in challenging locations, while meeting the expectations of a principal contractor known for quality and technical excellence.
This project reinforces AMA Scaffolding’s experience in delivering specialist scaffolding solutions for large-scale cladding remediation and regeneration projects across London and the South East.
